There are many reasons to grow Paulownia. However, we would like to emphasize the following:

• Single and very rapid growth, several meters per year.
Compared to other fast-growing species such as radiata pine, paulownia grows three times faster, reaching the same height and diameter as a  15-year old pine tree, after only five years.

• Growth period can be shortened to 6-10 years.

• It is not necessary to re-plant after harvesting as new trees can sprout from the root stump.

• Yields high-quality wood, which i soft and light with high resistance to fire.
